Employers set out their assessment requirements in an end-point assessment plan. Each apprenticeship standard that is approved by the Institute for Apprenticeships has an assessment plan.
End-point assessment organisations must deliver the assessment as it is set out in the plan. All plans must be clear and comprehensive, so that any end-point assessment organisation can deliver it fairly and consistently.
End-point assessment organisations must use the plans to develop their assessment tools. This may include:
- tests
- questions and case study scenarios
- observation checklists
- professional discussion specifications
