Provider Apprenticeship service account access levels

Training providerThis article sits within the Training provider section

You can give team members access to your organisation's provider apprenticeship service account through the 'manage users' section in your DfE Sign in account.

All training providers should be using DfE Sign-in (opens in a new tab) to access DfE Services such as the provider apprenticeship service account.

DfE Sign-In allows your organisations 'Approvers' (previously known as superusers) to set and amend permissions for provider apprenticeship service users.

You need to ensure the relevant sub-service (e.g. 'Apprenticeship service for training providers') and user role has been assigned to your DfE Sign-in account (https://help.signin.education.gov.uk/services/request-access).

There are 4 different levels of access you can give your team members. They are:

  • Account owner
  • Contributor with approval
  • Contributor
  • Viewer

What each access level can do

The table shows what can be done by members with each access level.

You should give at least one other team member account owner access. This means that if the account owner is on holiday or leaves the organisation, someone else can edit apprentice details or request a change of employer.
