Confirm my apprenticeship details
EmployerThis article sits within the Employer sectionEmployers or training providers using provider permissions, must add a unique email address when adding an apprentice record to the apprenticeship service. This can be the apprentice’s personal, college or work email address, but not a group email address.
This is a mandatory field and designed in line with GDPR requirements.
Without a unique email address, you will not be able to save or approve the apprentice record, so funding cannot be allocated.
If you currently use the bulk upload/file upload tool, you will need to ensure that the apprentice’s email address is included in the file. If you do not include a unique email address you will not be able to successfully upload the file.
Once the email address is added to the apprentice record, the apprentice will receive an email invitation to create a 'My apprenticeship' account. This will be from the.apprenticeship.service@notifcations.service.gov.uk and will look like the image below
Whilst the setting up of a 'My apprenticeship' account is encouraged, it is not mandatory and will not impact the apprenticeship start date or your apprenticeship funding.
