What happens when a training provider sets up your account for you
EmployerThis article sits within the Employer sectionYour training provider can set up your apprenticeship service account for you. They must have your permission to set up your account for you.
Give your details
Your training provider will ask you for the following details:
- the email address you want to use for your apprenticeship service account
- your employer PAYE reference and Accounts Office reference (we need this information to confirm your organisation’s details with HMRC)
- your first and last name
- what training provider permissions you want them to have
They can then start setting up your account. You’ll need to confirm the details to finish creating your account.
Confirm your details to finish creating your account
You’ll get an email with a unique link in it to the email address you gave to the training provider.
So we can confirm who you are, you’ll need to sign in with a GOV.UK One Login. You’ll be able to create a GOV.UK One Login if you do not already have one. You must use the email address that the training provider used to create or sign into your GOV.UK One Login.
After signing in or creating your GOV.UK One Login, you’ll be automatically redirected to check the details added by the training provider and accept the agreement between your employer and the Department for Education (view our help article about the employer agreement). This will create your apprenticeship service account, which you can start using right away.
If you have more than one organisation
If you have more than one organisation, you can add them to your apprenticeship service account using the PAYE scheme once you have created it. You can link your account with as many organisations as you like. You can also give your employees complete or partial access, so someone in your organisation always has access to the account.
